The Memphremagog Food Bank (BAM) and Caisse Desjardins unite for youth educational success
Magog, February 23, 2026 – The Memphremagog Food Bank (BAM) is pleased to announce a $15 000 partnership with the Caisse Desjardins du Lac-Memphrémagog. This major investment will allow for the distribution of nearly 24 000 snacks over the coming year, directly supporting 426 children from low-income families in our region.
At a time when the rising cost of living is putting increasing pressure on households, this donation will ensure the distribution of healthy and nutritious snacks, thereby fostering concentration and educational success for young people aged 6 to 17.
"We are extremely grateful for Desjardins' support. This donation provides the assurance that hundreds of children will have the energy they need to learn and thrive every day," says Karine Beaupré, Executive Director of the Food Bank.
"At the Caisse, we are convinced that local solidarity is essential. By providing $15 000 to the Memphremagog Food Bank, we wish to offer concrete support to an organization that plays a crucial role for the people in our community. This support is made possible thanks to our members and our Community Development Fund, which allow us to invest sustainably in our collectivity. We are happy to help strengthen the Food Bank's capacity to help those who need it most," states Sylvie Marcotte, General Manager of the Caisse Desjardins du Lac-Memphrémagog.
